After the closing down of the several casinos in Moscow post the gambling ban law confining gambling to zones, nearly 350,000 plus casino related jobs went down. The closing down of the casinos also meant loss of business for small businesses operating around the casinos with a dependence of the casino's clientele.

The side effect to such a law is already showing up. Underworld casino gambling is becoming widely prevalent. Also, more and more gamblers are switching over to online casino gambling after their brick and motor gambling alma mater has been shut down by law.

The only people who are affected seems to be those who were employed in casinos and almost all gamblers are somehow finding a way to deal with their gambling needs by resorting to other countries that permit gambling or by seeking out to online gambling venues. Putin's idea to curb gambling did help only very few from gambling addiction, the rest are finding out a new way though.

After the restriction of gambling to gambling zones there are a number of viewers crowding up to televised poker and casino games. There are casino gambling companies in London providing with Private jet facilities for high rollers who are going to gamble for more than $8000.

Gambling is as severe as drug addiction, remarked Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. He also added that the restriction of gambling to zones was to prevent widespread gambling addiction. Any kind of underworld gambling will be strictly looked in to.

About 18 slot machines were expelled from Luzhniki Market in a raid meant to eradicate underworld gambling. There is also a declarative warning provided by the Russian government which stated that they will be closing down the internet cafe's which will provide for online casino gambling for their customers. Will the "No more bets" situation continue? We are yet to witness.
