The legalization proceeds for online casinos in the USA are not likely to be around in to action very soon. Though a bill has been proposed by Senator Barney Frank with a focus on how the online businesses should be legalized and taxed accordingly, it is long way from now to get materialized.
Even if the bill is going to be acceptable, it has a long series of votes and amendments to face before it can reach the desk of the president for signature before it can be passed. The US government has a lot of things in their plates now and it is already lot for them to handle with issues ranging from unemployment, economic crisis, health care bills and lot more.
The lawmakers are already busy with such deals and online casino regulation is likely to be the last in their bills to be sorted out. It is expected that the online casino regulation will be put off for at least another year until the rest of the issues are sorted in the US.
Accordingly to the UIGEA of 2006 there is no clear cut clause that prevents Americans from betting; rather the blame and convictions are on the management of the online casinos and the payment gateways that process the payments.
It is therefore expected that those sites that are accepting US players are going to continue for some more time with less competition. For until online casinos are regulated in US the casinos which are not accepting US players are going to continue as they are and therefore the casinos accepting US players are happy with respect to the probable delay.
However, a few of the big giants around in the US are starting up to catch up the non-US retail casino players around the globe for now. Perhaps, it sounds like casino legalization in the US will become a reality eventually having these businesses turning back towards US players.
