Four Card Poker game is a new variant of casino poker games. The game is played between the dealer and the player, just like Pai Gow poker, three card poker and Caribbean Stud poker games. Four card poker games is basically similar to the three card poker game, where player's object is to beat the four card hand of the dealer with the best possible poker hand of four cards. Similar to three card poker, the game includes the opportunity to place an extra bet that pays out as per the payout table despite of the hand of the dealer.
Rules:
The game is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards on a table of about similar size of a blackjack table with 3 circles against the seat of every player including Ante, 1x to 3x Ante and Aces Up. A particular option of betting available in the four card poker game is signaled by every circle.
The game starts with the decision made by all players whether their bets will be placed on the Aces Up circle or Ante circle or both. In both the circles, bets are required to be placed in even amounts by the player who selects both the game to play.
Five facing down poker cards are dealt by the dealer to every player from which the best four cards are selected by the players to make a best possible poker hand as per the hierarchy of hand ranking. The dealer himself deals with the five facing down and one facing up poker cards. In contrast with three card poker game, in four card poker, the dealer does not require to get qualified.
Every player then makes the decision whether they have to fold or raise after the dealing of cards. Both the bets of the player get lost as he/she opts for folding. A player opting to raise, is required to raise up to an amount similar to Ante bet along with up to 3 times the Ante. After, the decisions made by all the players, the cards of the dealer are exposed and then the dealer selects 4 of the best cards from the available 6 cards.
If the hand of the dealer has the higher value than the hand of a player, all the bets of the player get lost. If the hand of the player is higher than or equal to the dealer's hand, he/she gets paid in the ration of 1:1. If the hand value of a player constitute a three of a kind or better, he/she will be entitled to get a bonus, the payout of which depends upon a pay table in spite of the value of the dealer?s hand. There can be some differences in the bonus pay table based on the policies of various casinos. Usually, the payout is given in the ratio of 25:1 for the best possible hand of four cards.
